What are ERW Pipes and Tubes?

Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Pipes and Tubes are longitudinally welded cylindrical steel tubes that plays a crucial role in the construction and industrial sectors.

ERW pipes and tubes are known for their cost-effectiveness compared to other piping options and for their strength, durability, and versatility. They support a wide range of structural and non-structural applications, making them indispensable in the piping industry.

Its reliability and robustness make it the preferred choice for engineering and construction projects that require high-quality piping solutions. These characteristics, combined with its ability to be used in a variety of applications, underscore the importance and widespread use of ERW pipes and tubes in modern infrastructure.

How are ERW Pipes and Tubes produced?

The diligent process of ERW pipe and tube production starts by slitting a Hot-Rolled Steel Coil into narrow strips suitable for pipe formation. These strips are uncoiled, welded, and shaped into a tube via forming rollers. The longitudinal edges of this cylindrical tube are fused using high-frequency electric resistance welding, creating a seamless seam.

Depending on needs, some pipes are annealed to improve mechanical properties. They are cooled, sized to specification, cut to length, and given a surface finish – like oiling, painting, or galvanizing – and an end finish – such as bevelling or threading, before being bundled for shipping.

To ensure the highest quality, it undergoes rigorous testing to ensure integrity and compliance with standards. This stringent quality control process underscores Conares’ commitment to producing a high-quality, durable ERW Pipe and Tube.

What are the applications of ERW Pipes and Tubes?

ERW Pipes and Tubes are not just versatile; they are essential in a wide range of sectors. In construction, they provide crucial structural support and are extensively used in building frameworks, bridges, and scaffolding. They also play critical roles in the transportation networks for oil, gas, and water, ensuring efficient and leak-proof conveyance. In the automotive industry, they’re integral for vehicle frames and structural components. ERW pipes are also fundamental in agricultural irrigation systems, urban infrastructure like water mains and sewer systems, and fire sprinkler systems, enhancing safety and operational efficiency. Their widespread use extends to general engineering, including machinery manufacturing and fencing, demonstrating their adaptability and cost-effectiveness across multiple applications. This versatility makes ERW Pipes and Tubes a reliable solution for various needs in different industries.
